"Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought
for with ardor and attended to with diligence."
Abigail Adams (1744 - 1818)
Ten years of knowledge is crammed into my brainpan. And every day, someone taxes that reserve. Something I learned in my first semester of college will come screaming back during a meeting or discussion. This makes me instantly flash back to that period where I was just starting out and all the mistakes and accomplishments I've made between here and now. Then I think of all the mistakes I'll make in the future, which causes me to pause, regroup, move forward and turn them into accomplishments.

Milieu
As a designer, my art is usually influenced by past and recent changes to my environment. Those changes can be something as simple as a new magazine or website I stumble on, or a book I'm currently reading. Thoughts spring forth from all these locations and I'm thrown towards my Post-it's or sketchbook to pencil a new idea or thought down before it escapes me.
They say that once you've graduated and had your first job, that your college experience isn't important to employers. What do "they" know. I soaked up everything (okay, almost everything) that my instructors taught me including tracking time, invoice and proposal structure, dealing with difficult customers (by being difficult to please themselves), and being flexible.
If I seem like the right fit for your company as a freelance artist, and you have an absolute ton of money (physically a ton, I'd love to see what it looks like) - contact me. Who knows, you may someday ask, "What would I do without you?" Or you might say, "What did I do to deserve this?"
